Nava R. Subedi
Nava R. Subedi's research background involves development of new techniques in digital holography for in situ microparticles characterization. His work has focused on the extraction of particle surface-structure from holographic images formed with backscattered light as opposed to forward scattered light, as is more commonly done. His research pursuits combine this laboratory experience with new techniques in digital holography to measure the extinction cross-section of aerosol particles. This work is important for the advancement of aerosol-particle characterization technology and will lay the foundation for the future instrument-development.
His is currently working on Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscope (CARS) and Coherent Stokes Raman Spectroscopy (CSRS) and trying to combine technique of digital holography to Raman Spectroscopy to extract complete picture of different samples. Dr. Subedi received a B.S. and M.S. from Tribhuvan University, and second MS., and Ph.D. from Mississippi State University, respectively.
